Sijil Paling Menyusahkan

It's that same atmosphere again!

What else should I do, other than pray to God that every single child will get what he deserves tomorrow.

According to some reliable sources, the SPM results will be out tomorrow. A few of my 5 Seroja students have called me up, enquiring about the reliability of the news.

Apart from my students (especially 5 Mawar and 5 Seroja 2009), my son is also subject to the pressures of waiting, and waiting with agony, for the announcement of their results. I think they care about the overall results of their respective school, as much as they care about their own results.

All right, I guess we shall wait and see...................

Detention Class

Some of my students will join the detention class on Monday! That is definite!

It is all because they fail to reach a certain satisfactory standard of marks in today's quiz.

The purpose of the quiz is to make them aware of the idioms / list of vocabulary which they have studied. Students, being students (with all the imperfections and complacency), must be reminded every minute to fully utilize the handouts given to them.

It is already July 11th, hence I need to make them see the light.... SPM is just around the corner!

Hmm, I guess I must share with them my own experience of preparing myself for examinations. But, in the mean time, let them enjoy their weekend. Monday will await you, watch out.......

Examinations

Tell me who likes examinations? Given a choice, I would rather skip sitting for a dreadful paper. The last paper that I had to sit for was the none-other-than the PTK paper (last year). The good news is that I am going to sit for a similar test this June.

Well, how shall I take it? Firstly, I need to take it positively. This is an opportunity for me to reassess my schedule. Besides, it is high time I started revising all the important topics which were discussed in the lectures I attended at the Pearl International Hotel. Moreover, when else would I get a chance to seriously put my mind-mapping techniques into practice? Apart from that, I find it invigorating to resolve to be more disciplined and to do away with procrastination....sounds familiar?

However, in the back of my mind, I really empathize with my students who are starting their first paper of the Mid-year Examinations today. Their journey into adulthood has just begun. I just hope that they remember this: "Little strokes fell great oaks". Good luck !!
